What to Expect During Treatment

Before treatment, the facial area is cleansed and topical anesthetic is administered for comfort. The doctor injects Radiesse beneath the skin at a specific depth. After your injection, the doctor briefly massages the area to promote a smooth result. When Radiesse combines with your tissue, it acts like a scaffolding for new collagen. Your body will gradually metabolize Radiesse and naturally clear it away.

Studies have show results with Radiesse lasting an average of 1 year. Most patients return for another treatment after about 12 to 18 months. Although side effects are uncommon, immediately after your injection, you may experience mild irritation, edema, swelling, itching, discoloration, or tenderness at the injection site.

After Radiesse Treatment
